Step 2 - Creating questions
The questions you choose must enable you to do some good analysis. For example if you need to find out how fit they are you could ask the question -
The problem with this is that it is subjective. Some peoples view of being fit may not be the same as someone else. Is being fit the ability to run 3 miles non-stop? Is it able to play a game of football? General questions are not suitable. To find out how fit some one is you need to ask questions about their lifestyle!
With this information you use the spreadsheet to decide on how fit they are rather than reling on their opinion.

Do not go for the easy option! You will end up having to do it again so might as well do it right first time! |
Your questions also need to be closed. That is only have a limited number of responces. For example consider the following question -
This could have lots of possible answers. Some people may have loads of sports they play while some may only have a few. Also people might make spelling mistakes. Essentially you will have a lot of possible responces which could not be analysed by a spreadsheet. If you wanted to find out what sports they play you could give them a list like this -
| Football | Rugby | ||
| Cricket | Tennis | ||
| Badmington | Gymnastics | ||
| track/field | Squash |

Always make sure you have a limited number of responses. That will make the analysis tasks much easier! |
