Step 4 - Develop a scoreing system
This is where the fun starts! Now that we have a good set of questions it is time to start analysing the results. Thankfully analysis is not too complicated once you get the basic ideas. The first idea is to work out a score for each section.

You should try and divide your questions into sections. This makes life a lot easier. If you have not done this already do it before moving on. |
Let us think about eating healthly. Consider the following two questions -
How many portions of fruit and veg do you eat a day (on average)?
When you feel hungry do normally reach for...
To create a scoring system you need to decide on what a high score says. In this case we could say that a high score means you eat healthy while a small score says that you don't! With that in mind we give each answer a score (the number in brackets after!). For example if you eat 5+ fruit and veg a day you get a score of 12 but if you only eat 1-2 then you get a score of 4.

The numbers you choose are up to you but they should be balanced and tie up. Make sure you have a nice spread of values and that will lead to good results. You can always change it later anyway! |
You then need to add the scores to your spreadsheet. The image below shows what each questions resoponces should look like -

You can also watch a video on how to add this to your work.
