
Step 1 - Research Websites
The question you have to ask yourself is "what makes a good website?". We see them everyday while for both work and entertainment. We know the websites which are terrible as well as the websites which are good. Your goal is to make your E-portfolio stand out so you need to find out what makes a website good or bad.

So what should you be looking for? The main elements of a good design are -
Look at this bad example. It is fairly clear this is a bad website but what specifically is bad about it? As the saying goes "knowing there is a trap is the first step in evading it". The original website can be found. Here are some of the traps from the bad example -
You then should note down what you found out in your sources table. The example sources table gives an example on how the good and bad example could be recorded.

By the end of your research you should of found at least 2 good examples and 2 bad examples of websites. These should be logged in your sources table.
