Step 6 - Adding content

The content in the E-portfolio is essentially going to be linking your files. For each file you add you should -

• Have a description of the item
• Have a image / or text to click on
• A hyperlink to the actual image

Below are two example links. They show the difference between what is expected for a C grade and what is expected for an A grade.

I first researched ideas for my invitation. I thought the grunge style went well with the dance theme so I decided to base my invitation on that. I created the work in fireworks using a combination of images I found from SXC.hu and images I took myself using a digital camera. For example I took an image of some tape, edited it, then added it to the bottom of my invitation. Invitation.jpg

What is the difference? There are a number of key things to look at -

• The A grade version explains how the invitation was created and what steps were followed (that were not obvious)
• The A grade version uses a icon to represent the file.
• It is clear that the A grade one has thought about how their research will aid their work.

Comments should tell the moderator things they do not know!

The comments tend to be the sticking point for most students. Here is a guide on what you should include -

• What the purpose of the document is
• What research you used and why
• What ideas did you try out? Why did you not use them?
• Any special steps you took to make the work (like image editing)
