Creating the Spreadsheet

The spreadsheet will be produced in Excel. This is one of the more difficult sections and it is common for students to get a bit lost. The important thing to work out is what the purpose of the spreadsheet is. After that you can worry about how to make it.

Read the brief very carefully! Make sure you understand what the spreadsheet is trying to do.

The spreadsheets job is to to help you gather primary inofrmation and then analyse it.You will be expected to gather information in a user friendly way and respond in a user friendly way. Although the analysis you will do will be complex you will try and hide as much of it as possible. That way the user does not need to worry about formulas in order to use your work.

Follow the steps below in order to create the spreadsheet.

Step 2 - Create a set of questions
Step 3 - Create a questions page
Step 4 - Develop a scoring system
Step 5 - Working out the score
Step 6 - Creating the results page
Step 7 - Update sources table and plan
